9/03/23 Sold Out Create Your Own Botanically Printed Silk Pillowcase from the Dye Garde
Come at 5:00 and let’s enjoy the beautiful mountain sunset together and create a magical, botanically dyed silk pillowcase.
In this workshop we will gather in the early evening for a joyful summer sunset in the abundant dye garden of workshop instructor and natural dyer, Ora Levi and harvest local Boulder medicinal herbs and flowers that are grown specifically for their natural dye properties.
There is absolutely no experience necessary for this workshop! Just come as you are with a desire to be amongst the summer flowers and create natural beauty. You will learn how to make a gorgeous, plant derived composition and transfer their unique flower essences and plant properties directly onto a blank, eco luxurious mulberry silk pillowcase (with a zipper).
To create a deeply personal experience in the garden, you will have the opportunity to browse and choose carefully the flowers you feel most drawn to.
By taking the time to walk around the garden, and experience the plants by following your intuition in the dye garden, you will personalize your creative dye experience so that your pillowcase will be made with living plants that feel healing and truly beautiful for you.
Come sip homegrown summer herbal ice tea and N/A fizzy drinks / OR/AND a selection of wine for a delightful happy hour while enjoying a relaxing, fun evening in Ora’s dye garden overlooking the mountains. Come with a friend or make new ones, there will be plenty of time to schmooze, connect and ask lots of questions while creating our one of a kind pieces.
Ora has been learning from plants for over three decades and has been working with natural dyes exclusively for over a decade. She grows her own dyes on her land for her clothing designs and workshops. She is the owner of ORA a sustainable, naturally dyed women’s clothing company and passionately brings this love for plants and sustainability into her classes.
